Published on by Sarah-Beth Watkins

Baby travel systems are essential for mothers on the move. There are many types of system and you will need to consider what is best for you and your baby before purchasing. Read further for things to consider when choosing a baby travel system.

Age matters

The first thing to think about when choosing your travel system is how old your child is and how long you want the system to last. Car seats can be bought to suit babies from birth until they are about 12 years of age. Seats can be purchased for a particular age range or a combination of age ranges so that the seat grows with your child.

Types of seat

The first type of seat is for newborns until about a year and is rearward facing. A combination seat will include this type plus will change to a forward facing seat for up to four years old. The next type will suit babies from nine months to four years and is forward facing. A combination seat for all ages will be suitable from 9 months to 12 years. Finally, there is the type of seat that suits 4 to 12 year olds.

Other considerations

For very young babies, a combination car seat and pushchair is a great idea. Babies can sleep soundly while they are being moved from the car to their stroller. The car seat clips easily into the car or onto the pushchair, thus helping you to move your baby with minimum fuss. Travel strollers are great for mothers on the move.

How big is your boot?

Consider how big your boot is when choosing this type of system. Pushchairs can be quite bulky. So, you will need to check that they will fit in the rear of your car comfortably. You can also think about how easily you will need the pushchair to fold. Heavier types will take two hands, while lighter ones will only need one.

Added accessories

Finally, think about which accessories are important. Some systems come with rain covers, nappy bags, parasols and foot muffs. Make sure your choice matches the things that you need or see if extras can be purchased at a later date.

The first thing to look for is licensing. Licensing for house cleaning services differs slightly from state to convey, but they all function the same way. Licensing allows them to take full responsibility for whatever happens. In other words, it's the only way for them to have liability.
